ISABEL SUMMERSCo-President - 6th YearI’m so excited to be leading EUENTS alongside James this year. My interest in ENT began during my intercalated anatomy degree, in which I specialised in Head and Neck Anatomy. Since then, I’ve enjoyed getting stuck into placement, attending theatre and learning about how diverse and interesting the specialty is. I’m passionate about promoting high-quality, accessible surgical education and I hope the society will provide that this year through many free events and tutorials, which hopefully will inspire students and build on the limited teaching provided in the curriculum. Follow us on Instagram, @euentsoc for interactive cases, events and committee updates! Outside of medicine, I love running, dancing and good coffee.

JAMES NELSONCo- President - 6th YearI became interested in ENT over 4th year and my time on placement last year has encouraged me to pursue a career in this specialty. I am looking forward to help to give members of our society some extra exposure to ENT through teaching and practical sessions.

CLAUDIA CHANEvents Co-ordinator - 6th YearHi I'm Claudia, one of the Events Co-ordinator for this year! I have been with EUENTS ever since it first started and helped the society build to what it is today and it has been amazing to see it grow every year. As past secretary and president, I have plenty of experience managing the society and I look forward to be getting more involved in organising events, especially for the pre-clinical year students, as we return to in-person meetings. My main interest lies in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, but ENT was actually the first exposure of medicine that I had and relates very well to Plastics. ENT is certainly an underrated area of surgery as it has such a great variety of sub-specialties and fantastic ongoing research. I am also passionate about increasing surgical exposure and education to the medical school curriculum, and I have carried out this role previously in other societies. So I am excited to introduce our new members to our upcoming events very soon and meeting everyone!
